49 Days

Grab the chance to harness the power from the river of knowledge already flowing through your being, to take that first step to get up and move on to the next phase. Time to let go and really let go.

Hanging on to personal loss builds up powerful negative blocks; these fuel anger, grief, bitterness, vindictiveness, distrust, confrontation, erodes self-confidence, which are all negative but very powerful energies. Over time, accumulation of these take its toll on your health.

Why allow a negative influence to knock on the door? Hurtful issues tend to get remote and forgotten.over time. Why dwell on these, the negative energy gets very powerful and takes on a life of its own. What purpose does it serve? NOTHING!

Like 49 Days Korean Drama!

By , April 14, 2011 6:16 am

I really like this korean drama 49 days that I recently began watching. Unique story with a topic that i like, a soul that comes out of her body, so you get to see some out of body experiences! (astral travel is a topic that has always intrigued when i was very young!)

In the drama, the story began with a girl who met a car accident and her body went into a coma. Her soul found another girl (my favorite actress in Queen Seon Deok) and she had to find 3 guys who would shed 3 drops of genuine tears for her so that she can survive and return to her body.

Princess Prosecutor: Super funny and cute!!!

By , March 16, 2011 11:23 am

I’m hooked on detective stories and dramas for the past several weeks!!! These few days, i just started on my brand new DVD for korean dramas “Princess Prosecutor“; there had not been many attractive reviews for this drama, thus I didn’t have very high expectations for it; but the drama caught me by surprise!

Princess Prosecutor is super funny and cute!

Princess Prosecutor is super funny and cute!

Princess Prosecutor is super funny and cute!

It was super funny and just at episode 1 I was already laughing so much! The story is about Ma Hye Ri who is a woman with super memory and ability to focus. However, she is born in a rich family, and is thus into all things fashionable and dislikes hard work, giving her the image of an unlikely good prosecutor. But she has a kind heart, and because of her family background she often has her own opinions of how things should work out.

Through her conflicts with her colleagues while working as a prosecutor, she gradually matures into a brilliant prosecutor with a sense of duty and justice! She is simply so FUNNY!!! Imagine this, a rich girl with a good memory trying her very best to be a good prosecutor, having a kind heart but who is always so careless, and who often dresses so differently from the normally ‘serious-looking’ prosecutor!!! What I like about this character is how she can be so authentic and frank with everything, even though it may invite lots of stares from her peers around her!

And my god, I love the songs which fit in so nicely for the whole drama!!! Sharing with you some of my favorite here!

The Great Merchant Kim Man Deok: “I do not believe in luck!”

By , January 9, 2011 2:26 pm

I’m halfway through my brand new DVD series The Great Merchant Kim Man Deok! It seems that this cool korean drama is little known. But I was curious about this woman called Kim Man Deok and wondered what the story was. I was not disappointed! Kim Man Deok is a strong woman who lived in ancient korea, and she is like the CEO of today during her time. When she was young, she had lived as a beggar, but ultimately became one of the greatest business-woman of her time.

If you are in the business world, you will know how difficult it is in reality to maintain your integrity and doing good businesses at the same time. It is not really easy. Most people are driven by greed and finally to self-destruction because of greed.

I was intrigued by her attitude and life philosophies towards dealing with her business competitors, enemies, and towards her co-workers who work together with her. In this story, she was always falling down. But with her silent strength and wits, she managed to pick herself up again, and again, and again, all the while maintaining that she should always do the right thing in life no matter what! She is also known to be committed towards philanthropy and charity giving!

“With regards to the concept of luck, I do not really believe in it. I have always believed that I’m a pretty unlucky person. However, what is so fortunate is that, heaven will not turn its golden wheel for those people who resigned themselves to their so-called ‘fate’, instead it will turn its golden wheel for those who constantly work hard and committed to choose to always ‘do the right thing’ in life.”

The Baker King: Patience is KEY!(You Must Wait!)

By , January 5, 2011 5:15 am

I just bought my new DVDs for The Baker King: Break, Love and Dreams!

Can’t imagine that an entire drama can be created using “making bread” as the main theme!

The story begins with the food cooperation SAMHWA chairman Goo In Jong unable to have a son with his wife, and ended up having an affair with the house maid Kim Mee-soon. A child is thus born and named Tak Goo. Furious, Goo’s wife Seoh In Sook forced the maid out of the house. Tak Goo grew up without his mother and father from 12 years of age. During his worst moments in life, he met his mentor Pal Bong (who is also his father’s master!) and his true love Yang Mi Seon. Even though he grew up without proper education and suffered discrimination from his rivals, he embraced his life by becoming the world’s best baker, following his father’s footstep.

The Baker King!

Director: Han Joon Seo
Sceenwriter: Kang Eun Kyung

I’m only halfway through the drama, but it’s pretty inspirational and motivating. You cannot help admire Tak Goo’s unbeatable spirit despite all the sufferings he have to go through. And his master Pal Bong is just like the jedi master. During the time when Tak Goo is still behaving like a gangster on the street, with no skills and no education, unable to find his mother and can’t determine his destiny in life, Tak Goo asked Pal Bong how to live on without being able to find his mother.

Pal Bong said to him: “You must wait” (and Pal Bong said that to him while demonstrating to him how to make bread!)

“So that the bread bakes well, you must wait so that it bakes deliciously.”

And when Tak Goo asked Pal Bong what he can do the hatred and anger he has with his enemies, Pal Bong said, “This means that you have not been living as a good person. Living life as a good person means getting rid of hate, anger and dislike. When your mom told you to live life as a good person, this is what she meant, Don’t hate and don’t get angry, understand and forgive, then can’t you dominate the world?”

If you have a difficult life, am hurting right now, and unable to see clearly what your future is and what is going to come, “you can only patiently wait, and you must wait”. Isn’t it wonderful? If you cannot change what is happening right now, there is no use to worry about it. If you cannot control what the future is going to bring you, there is no use to worry about it. You can only patiently wait. But whatever it is, heaven will help those who always ‘choose‘ to do the right thing in life, no matter how difficult things get!

Can’t even forget what the master told the father:

“rest occasionally as you work

look at the sky and look at the mountains

and occasionally look at the people around you

everything’s great about you but

you only race while looking ahead.

That’s why you cannot be happy.”

The Baker King OST, enjoy! :-)

Ha Ji Won and Hyun Bin Secret Garden! (Soul Change!)

By , November 30, 2010 1:54 pm

I will usually only recommend cool dramas and movies that I’ve watched here. This two weeks I’ve already completed the chinese drama called Wing Chun, and I finish up the whole of the 40 episodes. The whole drama was made with sincerity, and I’m so touched by certain parts of the stories that I cried, just because it can depict the conflicts between father and son, friends and friends, even between lovers so real just like in real life.

This week I’m starting on yet another korean drama that my friend has recommended me. I have not yet finished up with this drama, but it seems like it will be one funny and cool drama.
